Commitment to Social Justice
Healing is Political. Therapy Should Be a Safe and Liberatory Space.
As a therapist, healer, and human, I recognize that personal healing does not exist in a vacuum. Our individual experiences of pain, trauma, and resilience are deeply intertwined with the systems and structures around us. I believe that therapy should be not only a space for personal transformation but also a force for collective healing and justice.
My Values
Equity & Accessibility – Healing should be available to all, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, socioeconomic status, or background. I strive to make my practice inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming for all identities.
Cultural Humility & Ongoing Learning – I am committed to continuous self-reflection and education, ensuring that I am always deepening my awareness of privilege, oppression, and systemic inequities.
Anti-Oppression & Social Responsibility – I acknowledge the harm caused by colonialism, racism, sexism, ableism, and other forms of oppression. In my practice, I actively work to dismantle these harms and create a therapeutic space that is validating, empowering, and affirming.
Lived Experience & Intersectionality – Healing is not one-size-fits-all. I honor the complexity of each person’s lived experience and the ways intersecting identities shape mental health and well-being.
How This Shows Up in My Practice
Affirming & Inclusive Therapy – I welcome clients of all identities, creating a space where BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled individuals feel truly seen and supported.
Decolonized & Holistic Healing Approaches – I integrate somatic, mindfulness, and transpersonal practices that honor ancestral wisdom and non-Western ways of knowing.
Advocacy & Community Care – I use my voice and platform to advocate for justice, equity, and systemic change while staying engaged in community-based healing efforts.
Sliding Scale & Financial Accessibility – I offer limited sliding-scale spots to increase access to care for those with financial barriers.
Reciprocity Practices
As part of my commitment to reciprocity, I donate a portion of my earnings to organizations that support mental health accessibility, reproductive justice, and Indigenous sovereignty. These contributions help expand access to healing resources for those in need. Some of the organizations I support include:
Thank You Life – whose mission is to eliminate the financial barriers to psychedelic-assisted therapy
Indigenous Reciprocity Initiative – Supporting plant medicine by nurturing ecological wellbeing, including land rights activism, bolstering food security, and strengthening economic resilience
Black Mamas Matter Alliance – The Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) is a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance that centers Black mamas and birthing people to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice.
